School Curriculum

The Following Programmes are Available to our Students:

Students in their first year in the school participate in a year long taster programme in the various option subjects and at the end of year 1 decide what subjects they wish to study to Junior Certificate examination level.

Students in Transition Year also participate in a taster programme to better inform their subject choice for the Leaving Certificate examination. They choose their option subjects at the end of Transition year.

The option process at both junior and senior cycle gives students a free choice to pick their subjects. From these preferences the option blocks are formed and it is from these blocks of subjects that students make their final choice. There is a consultation with parents, guidance counsellors, teachers and students at all stages of the subject choice process.
